The mission of the Bodhiland Foundation is to support individuals facing psychological crises
MISSION AND GOALS OF THE BODHILAND FOUNDATION
The mission of the Bodhiland Foundation is to support individuals facing psychological crises β including those struggling with addiction, depression, loss of faith, burnout, the trauma of separation or family breakdown, and those rebuilding their lives after imprisonment. π
Our work is inspired by the teachings of TheravΔda Buddhism, particularly the practices of mindfulness, gratitude, loving-kindness, ethical conduct and spiritual discipline. π§ββοΈ
We do not promote religion, but rather seek the holistic well-being and awakening of human beings. π±
Bodhiland Foundation does not judge or exclude. We welcome all people, regardless of their political views, religious beliefs, ethnic background, sexual orientation, gender identity, criminal history, addiction, educational level, nationality, socioeconomic status or physical and mental abilities. π€
We are guided by the principle: "Do not judge, lest you be judged" β in the spirit of the New Testament β as well as the Buddhist principle of "here and now," entrusting final judgment to the law of karma or, for believers, to Divine Judgment. Therefore, everyone deserves a new beginning with us. π
Bodhiland expresses gratitude to regular patrons with free publications, artwork created during therapy, and invitations to retreats and workshops. π
The Bodhiland Foundation was founded by Buddhist monk Suthammo Bhikkhu, who dedicated his life to helping children in Tanzania and other African countries. Already at that time, Suthammo Bhikkhu was actively supporting individuals struggling with addiction πͺ. Our co-founders have generously provided financial support for various celebrations and events aimed at preventing child trafficking π‘οΈ and providing direct assistance to vulnerable children π.
We're here to help you and support our mission of creating a safer, more compassionate world through mindfulness and community support.
